After post thought: we could make a new over/under BUG. Top part -semi auto (I think you see where this is going)
Also, about ammo. Corbon has a round called pwr-ball. It is hollow point with the cavity filled in with a nylon ball. This makes it feed like regular ball ammo, and by some magic the nylon ball is supposed to disapear somewhere between exiting your barrel and "hopefully" stopping inside your target (be it gel, cheese, bad guy whatever). Any opinions or experiances?

Range Report…

Went to the range on Monday. I shot a mix of Winchester Wally-World stuff and Cor-Bon. I had zero failures and I’m pleased with the performance. The pistol was fairly accurate considering it size, although I must admit that I only shot at 3 and 7 yards. I assume that I would have had some issues at 15 yards, more due to the fact that I am not extremely good with DAO triggers (I tend to pull slight down and to the right). The recoil did take its toll on me and I was only able to put about 50 rds down range before I had to put it away (it’s definitely not a range gun).

Overall, I believe that it will go bang every time I pull the trigger and that it will hit reasonably close to where I point it. I’m please with the way it conceals in my front pocket (even in older jeans that have shrunk a bit…ok…maybe they did not shrink and I just got bigger…but you get the point).

Take your 380 Guardian back the range.

Shoot it from 3 yards... Nine feet. I think you will be surprised at how far away nine feet really is...

If you pistol is center mass accurate and functions perfectly at three yards you have yourself a very good self defense firearm.

You can practice all you want to at 7-15 yards, but statistics show that the great majority of lethal self defense confrontations occur at VERY close distance, involve very few rounds fired, generally occur at night or late afternoon, and the confrontation is over very quickly.

Additionally I believe the further out the distance you shoot someone the greater the odds of your having legal problems after the shooting.. Even if your shooting is found to be justified, legally, you still MIGHT have to deal with the grieving family members left without the love and support of the of the slime ball you had to shoot in defense of YOUR life in a civil case.

IMO the closer the shooting the better your odds are of winning a civil suit. The further away, I think your odds get worse.

Just personal opinion, YMMV.
