Blade Tech "Fits All" IWB holster

Post by Hyunchback »

There was a special on this recently and I partook. This initial review is based upon only wearing the holster for around 12 hours.

This is not an entirely comfortable holster. I wore it IWB at the 3:30 to 4:00 position. It uses two rubber loops set to go on either side of the belt loop so I let the belt loop position dictate placement.

Despite both underpants and t-shirt the kydex was not that comfortable. The MTAC from Comp Tac is a much more comfortable wear even though it is much larger.

The holster is aimed at taking all the size variations of a single maker's pistol. They make them for the Glock, 1911s, XD, and M&P.

During presentation trials the holster stayed put but did not feel solid like the MTAC. The rubber loops are over-generous in size for a 1.5" wide belt, double thickness. Being made of rubber doesn't enhance their stability.

It is a better solution than the Fobus Glock IWB holster but that doesn't take much.

I tried it on a G 27 and a 23. I have not yet tried it with the G 22 or a long slide version.

This holster IS IDPA approved but most IWB holsters are, if I recall the rule book.

For the price I don't feel I was taken. It's in a similar price range to the Galco Matrix variations.

I'm looking forward to trying out some of the leather IWB like the Summer Special and Summer Comfort which are similar in design but I suspect I'll find more comfortable for prolonged carry.
