9mm Precision Bullet loading

I just acquired all of my reloading equipment and I have a few thousand Precison 9mm 147 gr bullets from our group buy a while back. Since I am new to reloading I am looking for some suggestions for a safe powder to use. I have a small quantity of Bullseye (do they still make this?) that I got with the press, and a pound of TiteGroup that I bought to start out. Before I try this I would like to get some educated opinions.

I bought just a pound a TG until I decide if it works well, and once I found a good powder that will work for both 9mm and .45 I will be a larger quantity to take advantage of the savings.

I use TiteGroup, and love it. Seems to burn clean, and has provided some very consistent crhono numbers.

My Load info for my Glock 34:

147gr Precision Delta 9mm FMJ
3.0g TiteGroup Powder
Winchester primers
Mixed Brass (mostly Fed and Win)
12lb Wolff recoil spring

I average around 900 fps with that load, which in IDPA is ~50 fps over the floor for SSP/147gr.

You are using a different (maybe better) bullet. I have these Precision Bullets http://www.precisionbullets.com/ which are coated, not the Precision Delta which are plated. I have looked at those PD bullets and they appear to be pricey, but they also sound like they are very good quality.

I use win 231 for 9mm and 45acp and load precision moly coat bullets....

Marty, the Reloading Wizard, says you need Unique.

There are several good powders that will work well in both .45 and 9mm. Bullseye, 231, Clays, Titegroup, Unique, HP38, AA5, Red Dot, and Power Pistol to name a few. Decide what power level you want your reloads to be and then find a powder that will get you to that level with the lowest charge weight and best accuracy. I think you are wise to only buy a pound of power to try.

My all time favorite powder for all around use is Unique but, I use a lot of 231 and Clays because of the economics and ease of metering. Unique doesn't meter quite as well as some of the finer grained powders or ball powers.
