I found this forum just recently,I have had my CHL since last summer. I have read a lot of posts on here and i know it will give a wealth of info on concealed carry. Just wanted to get my feet wet here. thanks John

Welcome, welcome. Glad to have you. For your 2nd post let us know a little about you. Use the introduce yourself in the general gun discussion. These guys are as sharp as they come. I will make another forum or 2 maybe once a week. This one is twice daily, sometimes more. You will be made to feel right at home. JB3, just noticed your signature. I need to start reading more of those. They are really good & tell something about the writer too. for you it may be more of the truth than a pun. For me it is the truth, the whole truth, & nothing bu the truth. For the past 2 yrs now I have had to do a lot of rethinking & a lot of retraining. Mine are shot completely. Start a good day gentlemen.

Welcome John,
I too visit other sites about twice a week, but this one at least twice a day when I can. A vast wealth of information can be obtained from this site without someone trying to make you feel stupid, as is on some of the other sites.
We are like a large family.

thank you for the welcme
i will give pearland a try, haven't been there yet. one observation ill tell you about. when ever the wife and i go shopping at places i haven't been i find myself standing in front of the store reading every sign in the window looking for some kind of no carry sign. my wife just leans over and say's i see you inside honey. i suppose this will get easier with time, im tired of hunting for her in the store

I've been scratching my head for a couple days trying to think of a place that's been "properly" posted in accordance with 30.06. I've been in Houston, Texas since 1991, when I retired from the Army, and can't recall a single place! I've heard Taco Cabana but I don't eat Mexican. I heard Toys 'R Us, but my kids are 28 and 30.
I'm looking whenever I walk in someplace, but are there places I should REALLY be concerned about?
