Nice to know that even fit people have the problem. My overly large thighs owe more to good living and inactivity than to cycling.

i'm somewhat of a big body myself, ok im fat, and my grip prints if i turn the wrong way or bend over instead of squat. but i refuse to carry in a fanny pack or whatever they are called. i saw a guy last night i would bet a weeks pay he was packing. had on a polo shirt tucked into jeans. had a flashlight in a holster on his belt. he pulled his wallet out of his back pocket to pay at wally world, now what in the heck else would he have in that leather fanny pack? hmm i wonder. perhaps to someone that is not familiar with CHL, this would not even raised an eyebrow, but i bet he had a pistola in that there pack!

Venus Pax,

I use the IWB/Tuckable holster due to my line of work. I am a minister and carry at the church everyday. I don't wear a jacket around the office all the time and with people in and out during the day an OWB is not a good option.

Armed-Texan-I not sure I could ever use a fanny pack either. You might as well open carry or have a tag on your jeans that says "GUN HERE".

Why do so many people on this forum think that if you wear a fanny pack that you are carrying? I used to live in Montrose- most of the women out there wear fanny packs-with denim shorts and sandals! Those guys, I mean girls, are pretty tough! LOL!

When I found my perfect pouch for my G27 and extra mag at the Army surplus store the (female) owner told me the pouch looked a lot less like the "purse" I had on my belt when I entered the store. Purse=Uncle Mike's belt pouch.

Now my wife has an extra purse. Win win deal.

Winters been great, can wear extra cover garments to cover larger guns, but when summer hits it'll be goodbye IWB carry.
Back to big canvas pouch (which at least kind of goes with my work attire) and mouse guns.

Hurry up with the LCP Ruger!

I carry in a pocket holster most of the time but I also like the DeSantis EZ-Rider.

I prefer the EZ Rider II with the large paddle. I carry my P3AT in one on my hip from time-to-time. I've never been questioned about it and it is quite comfortable.

Thats the exact size of the pouch I mentioned. Gun and spare mag. even line up the same way.
Does that "daytimer" have belt loops by chance?

I am a big guy and have problems with CC in the summer months. I use a fanny pack worn in the front with a long shirt tail worn out. Even tee shirts and tank tops in the tall sizes work well.

During cooler weather it is either high ride OWB, or the shoulder rig. I do not see how those of you using IWB can really draw quickly should the need arise.

If someone gets a glimpse they really think nothing about it.

It has a large "paddle" rather than belt loops:

They also have a version with a belt clip.

So, if the guy said something like that to me, I'd answer him in the same manner that I answered the last rude dude that commented: "Two things you don't ask a lady are her age and her carry status." Then, just turn around and ignore him from that point on. If he continues, I'd ask him: "Do you want to get us both killed? Then, shut up." If he continued, like one I met recently when taking our GD to get her fingerprints, I'd just walk away and leave. It's not worth it, IMHO. There are lots of places to eat without rude dude.

You are not placed here to please anybody but God, and I think you pleased Him with your response. :tiphat:
why would you ever tell anyone that? there is no telling how he or she may have taken that personally id have taken that as a threat.
