How many "Hits" the DPS CHL website receives per day from applicants constantly checking the status of their application..........

I don't know how many hits they get, but it safe to say they have a dang good server.

This number can be estimated. DPS gets about 90,000 applications a year. Let's say the average application is in process for 60 days or 1/6 of a year. That means about 15,000 applications are in process at any moment. If every applicant hits the site once a day, that's 15,000 hits. That's trivial for an industrial-strength server. Some people might check several times a day, but many never will.

The TexasOnline server (probably a "server farm") has a much higher workload from driver license renewals.
