Gordon Carrell's Pistol III class to be hosted by CCIDPA

Collin County IDPA will again be hosting a training class taught by Gordon Carrell of the GLC Shooting Academy.

This two-day Pistol III class will be held on Saturday, July 19th and Sunday, July 20th, from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM at the Jacob's Plain Gun Club in Greenville, Texas.

This competition-oriented course will focus on developing the mental game, including recovering from a bad stage, and on match preparation.

The main focus will be on how to break down stages and optimize footwork and movement through stages. The skills developed in Pistol I and II will be reinforced and fine-tuned. New skills for this class will include setting up faster to break shots more quickly, footwork required for positive movement at the start of a course of fire, etc.

After each day's formal training, students can practice these skills with Gordon until 8:00 PM.

The previous GLC Shooting Academy classes were filled well in advance, and the number of students will be limited to a maximum of eight to maintain the quality of training. Therefore, if you wish to sign up, we suggest that you do so soon.

The cost for this class will be approximately $350.00. Payment must be received by July 12th. You will need 800 to 1,000 rounds for the class. Bring your lunch and plenty of water.
