In case you decide this is the model you want to look for, the "A" in RIA stands for Armory, not Arsenal. Wonderful pistols. The Tactical version, which already has a beaver-tail, ambi-safety, and Novak sights, can often be found for around $400 NIB. I gave $418 + tax late last year for mine. Better deals than mine can be found, but I didn't want to mess with shipping a firearm, and I like to keep my money local as often as I can. Besides, cash deals are harder for the wife to track downLarryH wrote:The one we have isn't going anywhere, but I suggest you look around for a Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) 1911. We recently paid $375 + tax for one. Solid gun.

OK, Llama MiniMax 45 ACP
Needs some TLC
Somebody on one of the other boards had a nice-looking Colt Sistema for $400
Heck, just go buy an RIA 1911 and be done with it.

Re: $400.00 to Spend WTB
Are you accepting pointers to offers? CDNN has three or four Beretta 96s in .40, about half a dozen Glock 22s (.40), and about half a dozen Glock 23s (also .40), all for sale for under (well under in some cases) $400. Some of them have night sights. The are of course used, one or two factory rebuilds, I believe all the rest are listed as "excellent" (eye of the beholder and all that, but still, Glocks are pretty rugged), and I think all have one extra mag (I am too lazy to go look up the email to doublecheck). Prices good thru monday.
Note: I don't have any connection to CDNN except as an occasional customer; but I've noted they regularly have some pretty good deals, wish I had more discretionary $$ right now, I'd grab a couple just because...
Good hunting.

Pick up a nice CZ in .40 caliber or 9mm. You may spend an additional 45 or 50 bucks over the 400. but it will be the best handgun money you've ever spent!

Find a used XD45compact or other size XD45. They do make some in OD green too.
