I was so releaved I wasn't about to spend 30 years in prison I didn't want to file the paperwork to get the gun back and take the chance a different DA would review the case and decide to bring it back to trial. Trust me on this. If you ever find yourself facing the possibility of getting a 30 year prison sentence, loosing a 600.00 gun will seem like nothing. Your level of innocence gives little comfort.flintknapper wrote:How did you manage to lose your weapon if you were "No Billed"?03Lightningrocks wrote:. Oh yeah...almost forgot. Glad you are alive to talk about it. That's what matters.03Lightningrocks wrote: Your opinion is incorrect...at least in my case. In 1998 this exact scenario happened to me. I spent two days in jail...15,000 dollars to cover my end of the bond. The attorney cost me $2,500.00 bucks. Case was no billed. Quite frankly, if anyone believes they are going to use a weapon in self defense and just walk off as the crowd cheers for the "hero", they are in for a very unpleasant surprise. Maybe in some cases you get to walk, but not in all cases. Be prepared for the worst and you won't get caught unprepared. Oh yeah...almost forgot.
