Maybe take it one step further and don't ever hand over a loaded weapon to anyone. My wife gets annoyed when I make her clear my Glock before handing it to me at the range when she doesn't feel like shooting through the whole magazine. Tough noogies.

I also see no reason to unholster when removing the weapon. The only time my weapon is out of the holster is when I am either shooting it or cleaning it. :coolgleamA:

I do unholster but place my weapon on the night stand by myself, too many things can happen when handing a loaded gun to anybody,if it had slipped and she tried to grab it and pulled the trigger in so doing the results woulda been different
It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them

i try to follow this too...even though pulling off my holster is more difficult than just removing my gun.

I just dont feel as comfortable with an exposed trigger. Although truth be known, Im basically afraid of shooting out something like my sliding glass door. Dont even wanna know how much that would be to replace.
