I am a newbie to the Texas CHL forum and the infamous "Waiting Room." I just recently mailed my application (not online) on April 17th so it has only been about 36 days and from reading the posts here looks like I am going to be around a long, long time. Gave them a call today for the first time and was advised they received my application and were "working on it"-whatever the heck that means. I sent an email requesting my PIN-not expecting to get it but one never knows! I read about getting a permit with another state that recognizes Texas and sent off for a Florida application. Will be interesting to see which permit I get first. Anybody gotten a CHL from New Mexico? Wait time?
