A Case of Who You Know?

Post by The_Vigilante »

From reading several posts here in the Waiting Room it appears that those who write to their elected officials get more done-their apps are suddenly found and processing speeded up and they receive their licenses a lot sooner. Maybe it is time for all of us who have waited at least 60 days to start writing and not stop until we receive our licenses.

I've noticed that too, thats why yesterday I wrote my state rep. We'll see what happens...

Rudy,

Looks like you have been waiting a long time. Good luck with your State Rep.

I don't know who your State Rep or Senator is-just do a Google search or call the local newspaper for his/her identity and address. I would write-NOT email -a letter explaining your circumstances and asking their help to intercede with the DPS on your behalf. I submitted my application April 17th and will not be writing until after the 60 days are up so giving them 1 week to receive my application and cash my check I will start writing around July 1st. Good luck with your quest!

Go to the Texas State Government website and start looking for who you want. There'll be a website with e-mail address for the Gov., Lt. Gov ., Senators and Representatives as well as phone #'s and mail addresses for just about anybody who is anybody in State Government. :txflag:

Having done that, have at it.
