Dad sent his off yesterday, so now our race to be the first to get the plastic begins!

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the longest 2-3 months of your life!

You know what would be fun though, is if you made a pact that no matter who gets their plastic first, he has to wait until the other gets his plastic so you both can do your first Wally Walk together. That way, even if your dad gets his CHL permit first, you get some solace watching him suffer with you. But it could go either way...

Or maybe I am just too sinister for my own good... :evil2:

Duke,

Thanks for the welcome!

I like your plan! He'll be coming over tonight for supper at my home so I'll make the pack with him tonight.
He's an ol Vet so its hard to make him squirm, but I think that holding out on the Wally Walk until we both get our plastic just might!

This may backfire :blowup though, and It would be just my luck if I got mine first!
I'll keep ya'll posted

Welcome Ruger. By your handle it looks like we have the same .45. Im thinking of finding someone who wants to make a partial trade for something a little more compact in a 1911 form, Preferably a Kimber, but I like the way the Ruger feels. It almost seems like it was custom made for my hand. Never had any problems with it, and it shoots true. Overall a nice gun. :txflag:
Theres room for all Gods creatures. Right between the corn and taters!

15 Dec Applied online
Plastic in hand 30 Apr
Kimber Stainles Ultra Carry II
Colt Defender
M1991A-1 Series 80
Yep. I like .45s
