Century Mark Today

Post by RugerP345 »

Anyone else in the same boat, or am I the only one in this room? :waiting:

This wait is worse than Christmas Eve when I was a young lad!

At 79 days (yesterday) I was emailed and informed that my application had not been entered into the system yet, so I'm thinking I will have 100+ days of waiting to look forward to.

Ha, funny! :smilelol5: Maybe I should have been a little more descriptive in my subject line!

Yep, they rec'd my packet on the 3rd of March, cashed my check then chunked my app. under the coffee maker! Then on the 25th they entered my app. If thats the case then my app has only been processed for 79 days, 80 days tomorrow, but still beyond the 60 day limit.

One thing I would like to understand is their procedure for processing applications. I've been trying to connect the dots to see if there is a trend, but trying to understand the procedure is like trying to decode the mysteries of the universe, IMPOSSIBLE! They only explanation I have read that makes sense are the efficiencies of the person working on the app. Like in all places of employment, you have your top performers, and your slackers. Seems like there is more of the latter.

Good afternoon fellow applicants.
I hit the 100 day mark yesterday........but today a miracle happened......Status changed to "Application Completed" :anamatedbanana

Here's the breakdown:
On-line Application:.............................09/FEB/2008
Took Class:.......................................23/FEB/2008
Application Rec'd in Austin:....................28/FEB/2008
Status: Packet Mailed to Applicant:...........28/FEB/2008 - 29/MAR/2008
Status: Processing Application Status:.......29/MAR/2008 - 09/JUN/2008
Status: Application Completed:...............10/JUN/2008
Plastic in hand:..................................XX/JUN/2008 (Now waiting on the USPS) :waiting:

Total number of times DPS website checked: 4528 (give or take a thousand)
Waiting Days Count: 101 Days Total (Application received to Application Completed)

Once Nirvana (Plastic in Hand) is achieved.......Wally Walk and more range time.

There is hope - from what I've been reading about 100 days seems to be more and more common.
Good luck to all -

There is light at the end of the tunnel...!? Yes, there is! :clapping:

I am not even half way yet... but, I am glad to see there is a day coming... now if I can just quit checking the DPS web site 500 times a day, :banghead: but I doubt that will happen.

Thanks, ya'll for the update it does give us hope. :thumbs2:
