Jareds - again
Just drove by the store in The Rim, I10 and 1604, San Antonio. Started laughing so hard my wife thought I was going to wreck the car. From the far lane of the road, across the parking lot, I could see the big, red 51 on the front doors.

Strongly suggest you contact TABC and inform them that a jewelry store apparently is making 51% of its sales reveneue in liquor for on-premesis consumption.jmorris wrote:Just drove by the store in The Rim, I10 and 1604, San Antonio. It's my understanding that TABC inspectors are a humorless sort when it comes to misuse of this signage . . .

Re: Jareds - again
the TABC only cares if they sell alcohol. Anyone can hang a 51%er as long as they don't sell alcohol. The sign carries no legal weight.HankB wrote:Strongly suggest you contact TABC and inform them that a jewelry store apparently is making 51% of its sales reveneue in liquor for on-premesis consumption.jmorris wrote:Just drove by the store in The Rim, I10 and 1604, San Antonio. Re: Jareds - again
You probably need a stiff drink before asking the prices.
Re: Jareds - again
Well, I hope that you continued past them and went directly to Bass Pro for some ammo or something!

Then again,
They might be able to get away with that at 'DeBeers' Jewelry.

For those of you in the DFW area, I'd recommend Nasr Jewlers.
2 in Garland, and locations in Rockwall, Denton.
The one at Firewheel has taken good care of me and my wife so far.
Besides, theowner of the Garland locations knows how to defend himself

The 51% signs cost less money. the Huntsville hospital have them instead of the proper signs. At least they did 3 years ago.

51% signs posted at hospitals are valid, actually.
