Charles:

Since you do not have a contact for prints in Austin, do you want me to arrange with someone who will take them? I know a few deputies who could do it for the $5 and be very happy about it. Do they need special cards or will regular print cards we use for DPS submittals do?
That would be great Stephen, thanks.

Just so that I am clear on all the costs involved....

You will be teaching the class, which has a cost of $65.

Fingerprints are (tentatively) $5

Reading on the Utah DPS site, the cost of the license application is $65.25

Things that I am required to send:

Photoopy of my Driver's License
One Passport Photo
One Fingerprint card (tentatively to be obtained at the classs)
Application form, certified that i completed the course by the instructor
Payment of $65.25.

I assume from your previous descriptions, that the application can be printed (found here: http://www.bci.utah.gov/CFP/ccwapp.pdf ), filled out beforehand, and you simply fill out your part and stamp it?

My list of things to bring to the class (as I understand it):

Application
$70 ($65 + $5)
Drivers license (I assume we need to provide some sort of ID)

Is this correct?

The only thing I seem to be unsure of is the copy of the DL. Does this need to be notarized and therefore done beforehand?

Thanks,
John.

Also, add one more person to the list, as I have a friend who has committed to attending as well.

Correct. I'll be doing the photos and notary signatures and Stephen is having a friend from the local SO do the prints.

Cool. Is there going to be a formal sign-up list?

I'm not going to have a preregistration requirement, but Stephen said the room seating is limited to 25 people. I need to do a quick count and see how many slots we still have open.

I'm going to start another thread with a "poll" solely to keep up with the people who are coming. I need to make sure we don't exceed the room capacity. I'll list the people who have confirmed on this thread, so please check for your name and let me know if I missed someone. Also, if your name is on the list and you're not coming, let me know.
