I am not a regular listener, but I have heard that he does have his CHL and has stated that folks should carry. Will be an interesting case to follow.

I did a quick search on his attorney, Tim Powers, as I thought I recognized that name. He's evidently a guest sometimes on Russ' show and gets regular "face time" on Fox 4 morning show.

I did some searching on this. The rumor mill is stating it was an assault on his girlfriend at a retail store, but you know how the gossip line can be. Will have to wait and see as more info comes out on the case. He does supposedly have his CHL, so if he was armed, the charge could be bumped up.

anyway, I listen to Russ every single day, when I get off work. He is a vary intelligent person who knows how to get a show good ratings (read: that's why he comes across as a jerk). Anyway, I srsly could not see him aggravated assaulting his girlfriend with a deadly weapon and causing bodily injury. insanity.
thing is, dude knows ALL the cops. everywhere. I dunno. this is strange.

ya know I listen to him and I like what he does for the the police and fire but I just can't get my head around why some people have to beat women. I might be old fasihoned or something but I would have to be in grave fear of my life before I would even think to him a woman.

Martin grabbed his 27-year-old fiancé "by the hair and threw her around a room in the house," according to the affidavit It also says Martin pulled out "chunks of hair" from his fiancé's head.

He then kicked her full force in the thigh leaving a bruise on the woman's thigh, it says. The affidavit says Martin then pulled out a pistol from behind his back and "intimidated" the woman with the gun.

It does not say that Martin pointed the gun at the woman.

One more story. Looks like it was enough for him to lose his CHL. Serves him right. Wonder if people are going to think all CHL holders are loco.

once again, just because they print it, don't make it gospel.

but, if we're going off of just what the newspaper says, I'm rather disappointed. He's a bit of a drinker, so I could see that being a factor. odd though that the fuzz waited almost an entire work-week to arrest him.

and then there are the cases where "she" cries abuse and he's standing there red-faced and flustered. Guy I work with had to go through some serious trouble because of a "he hit meh" ploy. dude never layed one finger on her, didn't have a good lawyer, and ended up almost losing his license (job) because of the whole deal.

so, I am reserving judgment until "all the facts come out," at which time, well, we'll see...

Some how I dont think we will get those. I would assume that he would have erased them if the affidavit is true. But as you said we will just have to see.
