How well is whining working for you?bigdadykain wrote:I quess I will sit back and let one of you suckups defend the model of inefficiency.
But did it really? It still took 102 days to get your application, which appears to be in the normal range these days. If your license was received in 60-70 days it would be a different story, and I would think that the complaining would have helped. However 102 days doesn't stand out as being any faster than those who kept quiet.Rub N Smoke wrote:Seemed to work fine for me....
The final part is what happens after they open your packet.Re: Final Part of the Background Investigation?
You are right. I wont argue that point however it did help me deal with it more sanely. I have seen people in this forum that are WELL over 100-120 days and Ive also seen people who it took 80 so truthfully there doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to the system down there. However I think if you call and bug DPS (after a certain amount of time) they will be held a little more accountable and even if it doesnt hurry them up it will keep their eye on your application and it wont get buried on a desk somewhere. For instance when I called yesterday, Heather (who is VERY nice) said "Oh yea I have your licence here and I need to get a # from fingerprints" I asked her when she was going to do that and she basically did it right then, and called me with the good news. How long would it have been on her desk if I hadnt called. Im not sure but it more that likely would still be there... So yea, youre right....BigBlueDodge wrote:But did it really? I must be an anomaly. I kept quiet and got mine in under 100 days.BigBlueDodge wrote:But did it really?
