So if money were no object...

Post by pbwalker »

This is always a fun one to see, especially as the years go by...

(This isn't a 'should of' or 'would of' type of topic. I'm happy where I am in life but wanted to pose the 'money is no object' curve ball)

I'll start it off. If money were no object, I'd go back to college at either OU or Mississippi for Meteorology. I've always been a weather nerd at heart and still, to this day, get excited at severe weather (be it Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Floods, etc.). Now, I wouldn't want to be the guy you see on the TV but the guy at NOAA in the background with the prediction modeling and forecasting. The scientific aspect of weather is just plain cool in my book.

So if I'd won the lotto, there is my plan!

I'd open up a gunshop, with good prices, with an attached range, and I'd sit around and talk guns ALL DAY LONG.
*tears up* yeah, I know, it's beautiful, ain't it?
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

I'd buy a whole lot of land in Brewster County, sink a really deep well and go into town only twice a month for supplies.
The last train out of any station will not be filled with nice people.

The collection actually belonged to attorney Bruce Stern, who died in 2007.
Stern was perhaps best known for having a very large gun collection, which grossed a record-breaking $12.7 million at auction after his death.

I would buy about 300 acres in the Texas Hill Country. Probably around Lake Medina.

Then I would buy a nice house on the water in South East Alaska.

A town house in Las Vegas.

A nice apartment in New Orleans. Probably somewhere around The French Quarter or Jackson Square.

A lot of really nice cars, and old military vehicles (my own tanks!), way too many guns, and some planes to fly around between them! If money were no object maybe my own C-130.

Hey you said it was no object..... :thewave

I would have more time to be at home. There is nothing else I want to change.

Well....I would buy LT a Glock and super glue it to his belt.

The first thing I would do is focus on doing away with the Brady Brats, BATFE, and Gun control...
...and start working on my Gun store/range in town and an outdoor range with up to 1000yd rifle range just outside of the city lights.

I didn't win the Mega Millions on Friday but if I had, I would quit my job and rent a beach house for a year in a warm state that got a D or F from Brady. By the end of the year, I would have a plan for the next year.

If money were no object, I'd declare myself king of the world and appoint Ron Paul to handle things while I went camping in the White Mountains.

By the time I got back, I trust the world would be a more peaceful place. :coolgleamA:
