Thunder Tactical 'Labor Day Regional II

Post by age_ranger »

Anyone going? I have plans to make it to this one. Should be a hoot doing a regional match indoors. For those of you who have shot it in the past, how's the match?

I'm not going to make it this time.

Here's a tip though... Keep Shaun away from the prize table. ;-)

No kidding. Gotta be some karma goin' on, though, 'cause he keeps winning pistols that he doesn't like to shoot.

I'm betting a dollar bill that the next one he wins will be a Springfield XD(M)...

I will also be working the match as an SO, like I did last year therefore I may not be able to give an impartial view. However, I had a great time shooting the stages (even though I did NOT shoot up to my skill level) truely enjoyed SOing my stage and meeting all the competetors and did not hear a single complaint directly from any shooter.

And with Mr. Vandermolen as MD, I expect some really inventive and fun stages this year.

Good to hear its outdoors. For some reason I thought it was indoors.......maybe that was a different match/range/event. I dunno.....brain gets fuzzy after I sleep. I've been put in limbo with finances so now I won't know until later in the month. Hopefully they have some last minute entry spots or I'm gonna have to go out of state. I kinda promised I'd hit a few regional matches this year ;-)

I've stepped up the training even with work getting in the way so I hope to make a good showing wherever I go. Stiffened up the trigger after a bout with a little bump fire at the last IDPA match. Maybe Wildscar will let me pick up a few pointers. I'm going to see if there's a classifier and might try the PX4 in ESP.

Well, I'm gonna miss it. I'm stuck up here in Tulsa so unless I can launch my 9mm from here, I'm out of the running. :banghead:

Looks like West Tx and hopefully another out of state match this year.

Good luck to everyone shooting Thunder this weekend. I know there will be a lot of wood taken home by forum members. Safe travels for the holiday weekend and safe shooting. :fire
