It was as if it was an omen. I've wanted an AR-15 for a while now and was trying to sell some pistols I had to finance it. Well, imagine my delight when I opened up this Sunday's Academy flier and say a Bushmaster M4A2 on sale for $899. I just went ahead and got it during my lunch break. I'm itching to go home and see if I can still disassemble and reassemble in under a minute (I'd imagine it is almost a carbon copy of the M16 take down)

I've got a Bushmaster Varminter. It's a great rifle... ...one of those "If I can see it, I can kill it" kind of rifles. I put a Burris 3-12x50 mm XTR tactical scope on mine.

Congrats on the new rifle!

I mean no offense against your new baby, but I have to chuckle every time I see one of those "Mfaux" or "M4gery" rifles with the short handguards and long barrel. They just don't look "right" with all that barrel hanging out past the front sight. I wonder how far the bayonet would extend past the flash hider.
