What in the world is wrong with these kind of people. Telling a two year old not to touch something, to him it means go for it! I just can not understand it!

What disturbs me here is that stories like this describing gross negligence with firearms are picked up on the national news, while stories of legitimate defense by armed citizens are buried in the local media only. The effect is to create a national media climate where it appears that all firearm related incidents are negative for the good guys, when nothing could be further from the truth.bryang wrote:These kind of stories make me want to scream!![]()

Exactly, that is why it upsets me so because the liberal media will grab it an run with it, and like you said... a legitimate defense by armed citizens are buried... the only place where you will find them is in the American Rifleman!Excaliber wrote:What disturbs me here is that stories like this describing gross negligence with firearms are picked up on the national news, while stories of legitimate defense by armed citizens are buried in the local media only. This pattern is so consistent that I would have a real hard time believing that it does not have deliberation and purpose behind it.
This was reported as a firearms story instead of a parenting story which it actually is. It's the equivalent of a mother "warning" her two year old not to go into the street just before he does so and gets hit by a car.biggyin wrote:you have responsibility for any of your firearms ALL of the time, especially when kids are involved if not directly under your control it must be secure!!
