Sign me up as a GTT

Post by Rokyudai »

Well I hope I read carefully enough the requisites for Off Topic... this is by far not a No-Gun Political article in my opinion...it IS however a shoddy composed article where the broad stroke of a pseudo journalist's brush implies gun owners can decipher little outside of the issue of 2A when choosing a political candidate. Count how many times semi-automatic or assault comes up. Watch how monkey with a pencil brings up the likes of Brady and don't miss the precious quotes from our folks. Gee, interviewing in a gun show and wondering why they seem to only focus on one thing...hmmmm. :banghead:

The lawyer sez: “I've never seen any game in Texas that would require a semiautomatic weapon to take down”

That's brilliant. Of course the right to bear arms in the second amendment is the right to bear arms against deer and doves, right? You would think a lawyer would know the difference.

I, too am getting pretty tired of the "Assault Rifle" and "Assault Weapons" verbiage when talking about evil black rifles. The little sidebar in the article about the guy who killed himself, his family and some cops with an AK-47 was especially nice. The guy wouldn't have gone on a killing spree if he had a deer rifle, right? Would he have remained a regular non-violent member of society if he were limited to owning a double-barrel shotgun? See, those "embrace weapons" make peaceful men out of villians, just like "assault weapons" make murderous thugs out of normal family men. :banghead:

He obviously has not ever been surrounded by a herd of wild feral hogs.

Or zombies.

Well it's silly anyway. Semi-auto handguns are the norm. In fact, even revolvers are semi-auto if you just shoot them DA. So if semi-auto handguns are normal, then what's the problem with a semi-auto long gun?

"Sport-utility rifles." They are sport-utility rifles.
