My wife was a voluntary lay-off from Wachovia last month so that she could pursue her new dental career full time. Timing just seemed to work out, plus she got a decent severence. She said there have been rumors floating around about mass lay-offs for about 6 months now.

This is capitalism at work..let the other banks absorb the failing ones, the system will self correct...DON'T make the American people fork over BILLIONS to bail out failed banking practices!
