Upcoming biopsy - update!

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Upcoming biopsy - update!

Post by catwoman »

I was scheduled to have a lumpectomy/lymph node examination/port-a-cath insertion the Thursday after Ike passed through, but that was all postponed until 9/25. I'm not sure, but I think I was the first surgery patient after the hospital reopened (hope they wiped everything down really well!!). Surgery went very well. I got a look at the pathology report earlier this week. There's what the pathologist refers to as a "minute area" of involvement at the edge of the lump. I like the word "minute" here! Ten lymph nodes were examined, all were
CLEAR, NO MALIGNANCY!!!
HOORAY AND HALLELEUJAH!!!

Can you tell I'm excited? I'm still sore and achy, and have enough staples in me (get them out Monday!!!) that I could go trick-or-treating as the Bride of Frankenstein, except she had better hair. But when I read that report, I felt as if a 10,000 pound weight had rolled off my shoulders!
I know I'll still have to go through the chemo, and maybe radiation, but knowing that the nodes were clear is going to make whatever comes along a lot easier!!!
Thank you all for your prayers, and praise God!!

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me
