Texas Independence Radio hits the airwaves. Some will give it a try; some probably won't.

The last train out of any station will not be filled with nice people.

Re: Texas Independence Radio
If you google the Republic of Texas movement you'll find that they are a fringe separatist movement. The Republic of Texas movement is a dead, they just don't know it yet. Anybody remember Richard McLaren and the nutbag stuff he pulled at Ft. Davis.
Re: Texas Independence Radio
I remember.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

I remember them 'ol boys (spits on the floor and looks back up) ... them guys aint these guys.
<folksy mode off>
Apparently, McLaren & Company were a splinter group of the Republic of Texas movement who went drastically "around the bend" and deserved what they received. The current crop of people in the movement were the ones who believed the McLaren crowd to be whacked-out squirrel cage candidates. They say that they actually filed a lawsuit against him in order to keep him from using the Republic of Texas name.
As I said in the OP, studying this particular social phenomenon is like taking a trip down a rabbit hole. It isn't for everyone, but in my post-retirement educational pursuits I developed an interest in dynamics such as this.
