A question regarding Liberty County MVA

Post by Venus Pax »

On Saturday night at about 8:30, Mars and I were traveling through Dayton on FM 1960, heading west. A black Dodge truck with an older couple was ahead of us. Another black Dodge truck, driven by two men in their early 20s, swerved from C.R. 607, ran a stop sign, and hit the truck with the older couple. Both vehicles were traveling at high speeds.

Since we witnessed the entire accident, we did what we could until the experts got things under control. The older people weren't doing well. When the ambulance was loading them, the man was having chest pains and his wife couldn't see.

The two younger males that caused the accident were probably either drunk or on some other substance. Both were not conscious when I opened the door, but gained consciousness as EMTs and firemen arrived. (EMTs and fire, btw, were very quick in responding. I thought they made great time considering the location of the accident.) I'm certain the passenger was not in a seatbelt, as he was lodged under the dash board. When we weren't looking, the driver, still bleeding from the head, left on foot.

Anyway, I'm wondering how these four people are doing. I called Liberty County S.O., but was told, understandably, that they could not divulge that information. I understand that, but the effects of MVAs are still a bit fresh on my mind. Mars and I know that, despite the fact that vehicle accidents aren't necessarily the result of someone's malice, they can be painful and life-changing. I've sent my prayers up for these people, and would just like to know how they're doing.

Dayton is a small town. If there are members on here that know anything, please let me know. If you're more comfortable sending me a PM, that's fine too.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
