The Hawkepaks Micro GunPak-1 is an ambidextrous belt pack capable of concealing a full-size pistol. It appears sturdy and well-made. It also doesn't look like a full-size pistol will fit in it, but it does because the barrel extends into a pocket behind the small side pouches on either side of the main compartment. As the gun pretty much fills the entire pack, I discarded the thumb break attachment because the gun really isn't going anywhere as long as the pouch is zipped up.
There is room enough in the small front pocket for a wallet and in the small side pockets for small objects such as cell phone, keys, pepper spray and the like.
Once it is on, the pack doesn't like like you could get more that a small .380 in it and it doesn't scream "GUN!" like some of these things do. It is about as comfortable as such a thing can be. There is a pull tab that allows the wearer to open the main compartment quickly. Once you have the holster attachment adjusted to the right size, the draw does not seem to me to be significantly slower than from an IWB holster under an untucked T-shirt.
The one gripe I have is that the zipper pulls are too large and the pull tab is too small. I'm sure with some ingenuity, I can correct that.
All in all, the Hawkepaks Micro GunPak-1. seems like a viable option for someone looking at a belt pack for concealed carry.
