I bet it looked like a cannon to them! They sure got out of there in a hurry!

Actually I was not aware that the BG's go around looking for lights on during the day. Oh, well...learn something new ever day. I'm glad that every thing turned out okay for the home owner and that he did not shoot them running away. It is to bad that there was not a camera on the one that first came through the door and seen that cannon he had pointed at him. :eek6

Looks to be a 7" AMT Longslide Hardballer (possibly the javeilina, but think that one was only a 6" bbl)....not the Automag.

Good gun,... if you could keep it from galling the rails! A 1911 variant that came in longslide versions and had some "not so standard" cartridge options available.

I kinda was giving it some thought "hey if someone sees the outside lights on during the day; then that's a sign there's nobody home" :grumble

But she insists!
Change out your fixtures for dusk/dawn setups. means never having to worry about whether they are on at night. just change the bulb when it burns out.

Better yet, keep an eye out for the keychain remote fixtures and/or power strips. The strips usually come out for Christmas lights, at $10-20. If all you can find is the power strip, it's still a simple matter to add a couple of plug-in lights somewhere useful.

It would also allow you to turn on some outside lights from anywhere in the house, which could be tactically useful.
