I've been waiting quietly since taking the class in April at psc and finally got the plastic today 10/27. I had to send in my birth certificate since i was born in Saudi Arabia. I had a passport and D.L., clean record oh and i'm caucasian. It doesn't even ask for a birth certificate on the application, but since my parents were working there i was born abroad. They restarted my clock when they received my B.C. in June, so almost three months to the day it arrived , so adios to the waiting room, time to lock and load and not a minute to soon before the election, and the world goes to hell. I'll be waiting for everyone on the outside. It's worth the wait!

bgtxan, I had exactly the same problem... Place of birth Morocco, to an American father and French mother. Submitted papers in early Dec. At the end of January, they told me I needed to send in a copy of my birth certificate AND a copy of my American passport. Got my plastic about 2 weeks later.
