AR Lowers - Time to Buy?

Anyone else looking at getting some AR lowers?

I'm thinking of picking up a couple in case a ban goes in place in the next couple of years. Once I get the lowers, I can get the other parts piecemeal until I can assemble a couple of complete ARs.

Anyone see any flaw in my logic here?

Consider that a $135 lower now may be a $200 lower 6 months from now and not available at all 2 years from now.

Not really looking to debate prices or "panic buying." More of a theory quesition considering a potention ban in the next 2 years.

However - there's an AR Double Star lower Group Buy going on right now at the 1919a4 forums for $78 apiece ($11 shipping), likely less if they get enough orders.

I've been following that buy. I wanted to check out the gun store they list (B&D Guns) and it's not listed anywhere. I can't get that business name to come up on any search. They provided a phone number and a look up of the number turns up a couple with the same last name as the guy that's putting together the buy. This is certainly no indication that there is anything wrong going on there, it just seemed suspicious to me. He currently has orders for over 500 lowers. Wow! It certainly appears to be a great deal.

I bought a lower back when congress changed hands. I also had an AR back then, too.

just bought a rifle kit from del-ton to finish that lower out, and get some mags. After that's done, I'll probably get an extra lower or two.
