Whenever I hear someone say "I support the Second Amendment but..," I get the same sinking, twisting, nauseating feeling in the pit of my stomach that I do when I hear "I'm not a racist but...." Such a preface always precedes a comment that belies the pretended disclaimer.

Even before he won the Democratic nomination, the NRA and other groups started digging into Barrack Obama's past and unearthed his anti-gun past. Once the revelations started hurting him, Obama started backpedaling with the usual platitudes about hunting and target shooting.
