A good site too for the EBRs. 46" is the biggets case they have & it is only 2" thick at the zipper. M1A is just over 2" thick at the finger lug on the bolt. Tripod is 3.5 wide & the gun is 44.5" long. That leaves 3/4" at both ends to zip the TIGHT case over the gun. Just not big enough.. I did not find another case large enough for the M1A to fit comfortably in for under $200.00. Dont have that.
Thanks for all the input. Have saved a couple of the sites for future refference.

Will give a report on arrival. Had shipping confirmation info this morning so should have it by the end of the holidays. Going to work & play most of the 3 days w/ son coming in so will be Monday for the review.

This one was about $40.00 more than I wanted to spend.

I understand where your comin from LT. When i can afford to do so after i finish with my AR ill be buying a Pelican, but until then my UTG case from Cheaper than dirt will have to do.
