Post by gigag04 »

Got a wild hair. I have a Kimber Ultra Carry currently and I love it.

Been looking at these other fine pistols seing whats out there. This is more of a probe than a set in stone deal, but I am curious.

Nick...if you go and shoot HighVelocity's Sig....You will be hooked. Just a warning.

I have a couple of Sigs and Glocks as well if you are going to be in the neighborhood. I would be happy to let you shoot anything I have.

Good to know!

I'm not sure what it is...I just feel like I constantly have to be doing somehting different with a carry gun. Too bad I don't have the cashflow to just buy new guns and add....

oh well :) I like my Kimber but we'll see what happens.

Nick....I think we all love guns and would buy them constantly if our bankers and spouse would allow it. You do realize that when the funds are available the spouse will offer resistance? I am starting to believe that this is the natural cycle of all things that go bang

......but for the sake of conversation, I have started the habit of only carrying one style. You have heard me go on and on about how much I love revolvers, but my point and shoot skills seem to suffer when I constantly switch back and forth!

I am sure there are a great many people on this forum that can switch back and forth, but I am not one of them! Since the TSRA show a few months back I have carried a little G26 and feel very comfortable with it. I am not going to switch to another firearm for at least one year for CHL efficiency purposes with my draw. Anywho....come on down sometime and we will bag up my safe and make a day of it!

A bump and an update.

I'm looking to get a Sig P229, a Glock 23, or a H&K USP or USPC.

Looking for .40 cal for the sig and .40 or .45 for the USP

I have a Kimber Ultra Carry. Lemme know if interested.

jbird, your one yr committment is the very thing I tell new to carry folks even if they are not new to arms. It must become so natural that it is never thought of. Good thinking.

GIGAG, put that thing back on your hip. Why would anyone want to trade down. :biggrinjester: That oughta start a Sunday morning 1911/Glock ruccus.

I have a G23 in excellent condition..Night sigths..Also got a 229 minor holster wear in .40 S & W... But why would you trade your Kimber?? Anyway, wish youre close by so you cab hanfg-out w/ the group and shoot all the G23's and 229's and satisfy the urge..I'm like jbirds I'm sticking to my G26 for a long while. I doubt it though, but in the event I change my carry it will be an Ultra and in all likelyhood a Kimber. HV, got the best looking 229,imho!!

Reason for considering a trade is that I want something a bit bigger maybe. I love the kimber to death, it's one of my dream guns, so I'm not gonna let it go easily, but if I can find a deal that really interests me I am willing to make a swap.

A Two Tone P229 in .40 S&W is my first choice, but I'm open to other offers for sure.

Reysc - what kinda P229??

High Velocity got a two tone P229 and mine is exactly like his w/o the two tone it's s/a d/a.I love the 40 S&W except for the ammo cost..I still can't decide which one is better ( G23 or P229) that's why I have both. Maybe best thing you can do is save up some funds and get a P229.I've checked w/ Tripp Research when I bough my cobra mags for my Kimber and it's gonna cost me $ 210.00 inclusive of shipping and tax to have mine in two tone ( hard chrome top and polymer finish frame)..
