BATFE held a seminar in Tampa, Florida, to inform FFLs on how to avoid burglaries. The seminar emphasized the importance of preventing burglaries between now and the Superbowl, scheduled for February in Tampa.
Buried in the story is the factoid that Texas has the highest number of gun store burglaries this year.

The Superbowl? Does this make any sense at all?
Is this possibly a spin-off of the false story that domestic violence increases during and after the Superbowl?

I would think the Tx burglaries could be linked to Mexico's problems with gun influx.
Florida however has a real problem with gangsters sticking up tourists, for quite a few years now.
