Bizarre crime - eggbeater burglary

Post by seamusTX »

Tampa -- Two burglars armed with a pistol and a knife entered a home before dawn December 14 and demanded an eggbeater. When the burglars obtained the eggbeater, they left. Police caught them minutes later, still in possession of the stolen eggbeater.

No report of drugs or alcohol, but I can't think of any other explanation.

Hmm...I haven't owned an eggbeater in years. I guess I'd have had to fight.

I suppose you're using this to illustrate how irresponsible the homeowners were in being in their house before dawn.

I would bet they follow the adkins diet and were having a ketosis crisis. I have often thought of robbing the Hostess truck. :biggrinjester:

Oooh, didn't think about that Jason; good point. Been there done that, 'cept mine was the Blue Bell truck. Those guys looked at me funny when I was staring at them with a crazed look in my eye and drooling while they restocked the grocery store freezers.

Seeing as the victim had one assailant holding a knife to his throat and another criminal aiming a pistol at him, I would say he had a severe breakdown in his security plans (if he had any).
