What do you know about Tx Supplemental Peace Officer Course

I am currently taking the supplemental peace officer course offered through classen-buck.com. So far the course has been pretty easy and I know I meet the requirements for the Supplemental Course eligibility to take the TCLEOSE Exam. My question, does anyone have experience with this course and how well does it stand alone in preparing you for the CCP, Penal, Traffic, TABC, Health and Safety and Family Codes? Thank you.

Personally, I have never heard of it.

Is this supposed to qualify you as a reserve officer?

Nope, because of my training in the AF as a SP, I can take an abridged (120 hour) course that covers the above listed sections, supply copy of my grad cert from Tech School (you have to have an approved AFSC or MOS), Proof of 24 months doing the cop job, a few other things and I can take the TCLEOSE Exam and become a bona fide licensed Peace Officer in Texas.

I know people who have taken it. I went through the full academy and found learning all the laws to be difficult there...

All you can do is study the codes and make sure you understand them. I found the practice exams located here helpful:
