Friend going back to Afghanistan

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Friend going back to Afghanistan

Post by scootergeek »

My best buddy/friend/partner in crime of 30 years knowing is about to go into the crappy part of Afghanistan for a second tour there. He's been on multiple mission over the years in different countries and such since 1995 but something just feels a lil strange this time around. I honestly could not live or function without him we are that close. Wife says i'm a worry wart but like I said something just seems wrong this time.

If everyone could offer up a simple prayer for him it would be apprecietaed.

His name is Travis Norwood.

The crappy part? Not to be negative, but every part I saw pretty much fit that description. I spent most of my time along the border of Pakistan in Paktika (not Paktia, that is next door) province.

It will be my privilege to pray for Travis.

And next time you talk/write to him, please tell him I said "Thank You for his service"!

Thank you for the privilege to pray for your friend, Travis. I pray that God will go with him and keep him, and bring him home safe. I pray for Gods peace for you, also, and assurance of God's presences.

Prayers said for Travis, and for those he'll be working with, that they'll all come home safely.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me
