Just found this and love to read these facts. I dont want to step on your toes, but I found this one and wanted to share.
December 30, 1835 -- A decree was issued by General Santa Anna stating that all foreigners taking up arms against the Mexican government would be treated as pirates and shot.

I wasn't aware of that one.
There are all kinds of details of history that are nearly forgotten. Indians living in the U.S. had a habit of raiding into Mexico and then retreating back to the U.S. It was a big diplomatic issue at the time.
