Flat panel(LCD or Plasma) Picture Post

Post by CainA »

If you've got one of the subject tv's post your pics.

I'll start:
Panny TH-58PH10UK
720P Professional Monitor(No Tuner-No Speakers)

I have the 42" version too, just don't have a pic of that handy.

Wife paid for it, that's why it's on LMN.. "rlol"

Sorry pal... ...I bought a 57" Mitsubishi DLP with 1080P resolution back when I bought my house a couple of years ago. All the other TVs in the house are smallish (25"/26") LCD screens - except my son's, which is a 36" Insignia.

The Mitsubishi has true black, which neither plasma screens or lcd can match, and the picture is breathtaking. The downside is that it is about a feet deep, unlike the flat panel TVs.

Ohhhhhhh, a "steal me" thread...Woo Hoo, first of the year!!! :anamatedbanana "rlol" :thumbs2:

I'm guilty too, we bought a 46" Sony 1080p LCD for our big Christmas present to ourselves this year...Works really good...

I also have a nice Winchester 1300 for those who wish to seek illegal access to Steve's compound and recreation area...

And yes...We still have fundage to go out and buy more ammo...geesh... :smilelol5:

Ohhhh, BTW, has anyone figured out this whole "HDMA" cable thing???

Almost thinking I am going to have to call the Geek Squad or FireDog to come out and teach me something about the new setup...

60" Mitsu 1080P DLP. I just finished building that fireplace "stand" for the TV. It covers the brick hearth. We're in TX, there's no need for a fireplace anyways. I am still working on designing the audio rack on the left of the TV as well as figuring out where to mount a 24" LCD monitor for the HTPC, for dual display so I don't have to turn on the TV every time I wan't to use the PC for anything. There are 6.5" in-wall speakers on the opposite wall of the TV. It is still a work in progress, maybe only 25% done with the living room. I still need to paint it and put in the laminate flooring.

Sweet, AV stuff can be almost as much fun as guns.

Not by a longshot. But my TV is going to stop working next month and I don't plan to buy a new one.

Now boomerang, most people don't plan on their TV's retirement date, unless they are either pulling the plug, or pulling an Elvis.

You're not planning on shooting your TV, are you? :nono:

I think he is referring to the changeover to digital transmission.

HDMI? well, my TV only has one HDMI input, which I use for the PS3, since it's also a BluRay player. the cable box I use componet cables for, and the pic quality is great. the comp gets the ol' computer cable that most monitors use.
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.
