Incompetent robber of the day

Post by seamusTX »

Portland, Oregon, December 27 -- A masked man tried to rob a car wash. He pulled out a pistol and dropped it, and the pistol fell apart.

He then threatened the employee, who discharged a power washer into the robber's face.

The robber fled and has not been apprehended.

Hand car washes seem like a pretty good robbery target, since everyone pays cash. However, even in Portland, Oregon, the kind of people who run car washes are not to be played with.

Too bad there is no video...

I see video.

Ok... THIS is funny...

The employee described the man as having “unusually long arms” and dark eyes.

Police said the man should be considered armed and dangerous.

It isn't the GUN, we know THAT!!!! LOL

CHICAGO, Dec. 30 -- A man handed a note to a teller in a Chicago bank that said, ""Be Quick Be Quit. Give your cash or I'll shoot." He fled with $400.

The note was written on his paycheck stub.

He was arrested at home later in the day and reportedly confessed.

This kind of thing actually happens so often that it practically is not news.

One unexplained detail is why he traveled 35 miles from his home in the suburb of Cary to rob a bank in Chicago.

So he wouldn't be recognized. The pay-check stub just wasn't part of his planning process.

There are plenty of bank branches closer to Cary than Chicago, in some very anonymous suburbs. What he did is like driving from New Braunfels to San Antonio to rob a bank.

After the incident was reported, police arrested employee's name, Chris B. Truax, on a 7-year-old warrant for failure to appear at a hearing on a DUI charge.

I'm wondering if they took his information as a witness and then ran a warrant check on it.

Well, I guess he made a clean getaway!
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Broken slide stop. Or maybe it was a plastic toy.

You have to realize that many criminals are brain-damaged.

This one was a burglar, but ...

A thief in Florida broke into a grocery store and stole a cash register and food. Apparently one of the items that he stole was a leaking bag of popcorn. Police followed a trail of popcorn kernels from the store to the thief's apartment. The trail continued inside.

Stealing a cash register from a closed store is stupid. They empty the cash registers at the end of each shift.
