City of Dallas Crime Stats

Post by Commander »

Dallas PD announced today that the number of murders in Dallas last year was the lowest it has been since 1966. Imagine - A major city with no restrictions on handgun ownership has its lowest number of murders in over 40 years. I wonder how the Brady Bunch will spin that against cities that restrict ownership that have higher stats?

North Dakota has an 'F' rating with the Brady's and they reported no firearm murders this year, and only 2 at all.

Dude, I'm FROM North Dakota.. if you go to 99.8% of the state. point your gun, turn 360 degrees while firing, you won't hit ANYTHING. And I don't mean anyONE, I mean anyTHING other than the dirt where your bullet eventually lands. LOL

I love North Dakota, but there's a WHOLE lot of nothing up there. ND has about 2% of the population of TX in 25% of the land. The population density is so radically different.

I'm surprised there were zero firearms murders in the state tho...wow.

Hey, where do you find the Brady state ratings and state-by-state murders for the year?

Thanks, I found them. So what can Texas to do improve our rating? We're tied for 29th.. We can do better than that, we need to shoot (pun - intended or not, you decide) for 50th.

:iagree: "rlol"

Maybe the new "off to a fast start" thing with justifiable homicides in San Antonio is just what we need to bump us up the ladder? (...and by up I mean down.)

Amen brother. Justifiable homicides up? GOOD. The only reason it could be bad is that I feel for anyone who has to take the life of another, even if that other is a scum bag. Some people don't have the emotional toughness to deal with killing. I'm not suggesting that I *know* I do, as I never have, btw. But I think I'm better able to handle it than others that I know would be emotional wrecks.
