My Shootin Buddy

Post by longtooth »

I have said many time & have many pictures & more memorines that Mom is my shootin buddy. 78 & still shooting.
Well she not only shoots but is willing to do it all.
She cleans her own guns when necessary. When we have a group clean w/ she, me, & son after a big shoot she does her part there too.
She helps in the loading cave too.
Here she is loading for her 9mm. 115 gr JHP over 6.1 gr of Unique.

That's just plain awesome! :hurry:
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

You're making a 78-year old lady - the woman who bore you - load her own 9mm . . . on a single stage press? :nono:

Well, you missed Christmas, but Mother's Day is coming up . . . a good son would buy her a Dillon!!!

:banghead: :banghead: Two bangheads for a big OH ME.

Dont know how I did it but I had to punch a wrong button & delete a post above. I am sorry. :leaving

Who ever asked about the 6.1 being a hot load:
I tried to quote your post then give this answer:
Speer #13 that came w/ the RCB kit says 6.3 is max. When working up a load I try to make the practice load as close to carry load as possible. When I can stagger a practice load & a carry load in a magazine & get the same point of impact w/ all of them, then I am where I want to be.
