Well ladies and gents, after a painstaking wait of 291 days , I received my plastic . All that's left is the Wally walk. My wife received her plastic last Friday, so I see a dual Wally walk in my future. Thanks for all the comfort.

Congratulations. Any idea of why it took so long?

They asked for additional information WRT my DD-214. I immediately (the next day) sent the info they wanted. I called three weeks later to make sure all was well and their records showed I still owed them some DD-214 information. i told the nice lady I sent it three weeks before. She put me on hold and located the letter in someone's in-box. Then Hurricane Ike. Then a final background check. So to answer your question, I have no idea. I just wonder if providing additional requested information starts the clock all over. 154 days after I spoke to them, I received my plastic.
