Not a big fan of hats... but...

Post by Fangs »

I wouldn't mind wearing a Μολών λαβέ hat. Ok, so it's not as hardcore as a tattoo or anything, but then again, I have a problem with committment. The only problem is that as far as I've seen, the hats available come in an older style. You know, the big hole in the back and the adjustable strap. Does anyone know of some that are fitted, i.e. non adjustable?

What is a "Μολών λαβέ " hat? Do I stand on my head or close one eye to read that? If I need another language, warn me first so I can order Roseta Stone.

"Μολών λαβέ "
The Greek phrase Molōn labe! (Μολὼν λάβε; approximate Classical Greek pronunciation [molɔ̀ːn labé], Modern Greek [moˈlon laˈve]), meaning "Come and take them!", is a classical expression of defiance reported by Plutarch in response to the Persian Army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons. It corresponds roughly to the modern equivalent English phrase "over my dead body", "bring it on" or, most closely, "come and get it". It is an exemplary use of a laconic phrase.

Ahhh. Then go to a good sporting goods store - any that sell baseball gear. They have fitted hats (baseball). Find one you like and, like was said earlier, get r' stitched. I doubt you'll find one already made. Make mine a 7 1/4" ;-)

Sorry, not a greek/latin/whatever major.... I can tell ya a whole lot about lasers, and Satellite Communications, and electronics though... LOL

I was about to make a comment about advertising your gun status, but then I realized if people on this board don't know what it means the general public isn't going to have a clue

Edit: Oh yeah, given the subject, I came into the thread expecting to maybe see two guns sewn on to the sides or something "rlol"

Very high quality cap, NOT mesh back, heavy material…excellent craftsmanship.
