So, how pooched am I? Missing information on my FP card

So, I called DPS this morning to find out where my Instructor Application was standing and found out that they had mailed me a letter on Friday stating that my fingerprint cards were "missing information". Im anxious to see whats missing as I went over those cards with a fine toothed comb to ensure nothing was left off. Now, Im really worried about not making the Instructor class in June...

Once I correct the issue, I planned on driving it up to Austin to drop it off and politely ask if they can check it over to ensure that its complete.

Any idea how much this is going to set my instructor app back?

Anyway, I got my print card back in the mail this morning and I had left off my DOB in the tiny little box off to the right.

I typed up a letter of explanation as requested by DPS and then drove it up to Austin and dropped it off personally at the appropriate location.

I asked about the class in June and was basically told that they dont know much about whether or not currently processing applications will be included in this years class as we are competing with those that may have missed the cut off date from last year. All of that raises the issue though; if there is that much demand for instructors courses, why does DPS only give the CHL instructor course one time per year?

I had almost the exact thing happen to me. They told me that my new 60 day mark would be Feb 5th instead of the December 15th mark which I was going off of.

I checked today and I got the 'application complete' message.

It will back you up, but not for another 60 days (hopefully).

Thanks Chris! I sure hope you are right. I called yesterday just to see if the FP card had made it back into the processing and I was told to check back next week. Im a government employee and Im even having a tough time grasping the sheer glacial slowness of a very simple act of putting a FP card back in a file.
