There's more at the blog post, plus Sebastion provides links to videos of the actual testimony concerning these points. Do go check it out -- I suspect you will not be reading or seeing much about it in the MSM.This Tuesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee had a hearing on “Law Enforcement Responses to Mexican Drug Cartels“ Some of the testimony is frankly, surprising.

Question from Durbin to ATF about drug smuggling in Mexico
Durbin claims smuggling into Mexico is in the thousands, and asks ATF for their sense of how big the problem is. ATF retorts “I would not say it’s in the thousands, sir. I would say it’s probably in the hundreds.” Durbin pretty clearly didn’t like that answer.

Diane Feinstein asks what new gun laws we need.
Senator Feinstein wants to know what laws she can push to make smuggling guns into Mexico even more illegal. The laws we have now are “pretty clearly not enough,” according to the Senator. The response from the panel is that we don’t even really know the scope of the problem, and have been using current laws effectively

Senate Testimony on Violence in Mexico
The following is an excerpt from Sebastian's blog concerning the alleged flow of guns from the US to Mexico. The references to "the panel" are apparently to a panel composed of law enforcement agencies' representatives testifying to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Wayne LaPierre ( NRA ) discuss gun control and the 2nd Amendment
I don't know if ya'll saw this or not, but Wayne LaPierre (NRA) was talking about this the other night on Fox and said that these claims of smuggling arms from USA into Mexico are absolutely false. A very interesting interview. If it has already been posted, I apologize.

That being the case, why should we bear the brunt of this problem (true or not true) for another country???bryang wrote:Wayne LaPierre ( NRA ) discuss gun control and the 2nd Amendment

I believe yet again, that this is a button our government had better not push...
They want to keep everyone's skivies in a wad talking about it, fine...The real solution is not what is being talked about...
What bothers me is why is there hesitation to militarize our border??? I mean, we used to do this to stop things like this from happening...
But since the INS checkpoints and other governmental efforts are turning against the wrong people in this regard...The problem is not just at the borders...It is too late, it is already in and around us...
We all know who is at fault here...Lets just hope we can start getting it under control before we cannot do anything about it...

Re: Senate Testimony on Violence in Mexico
These people coming into our country from the south are votes for whoever welcomes them....and we all know who the welcoming committee is, isn't that right Nancy?
Re: Senate Testimony on Violence in Mexico
These people will sell our country, and us, out for votes....I am getting sick and tired of this. As Stevie said there needs to be something done and done now. Our voice needs to be heard, the "TRUTH" needs to be heard...but how? I know, ....I wrote to my Rep and Senator multiple times and to no avail. Maybe it is just me, but does it do any good? I have to wonder if they ever saw them and even if they did see them, they will cave in and go with the flow...don't make any waves.
Vote them out! and I know that those of us on this forum do vote...however there are to many people with their heads in the sand and keep voting the same ones back again, and again, and....
America must wake up, we are headed down a slippery slope...fast.

We shouldn't. A better question is why are those people, including some government officials, willfully and knowingly spreading lies?stevie_d_64 wrote:That being the case, why should we bear the brunt of this problem (true or not true) for another country???
THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS NOT ABOUT DUCK HUNTING
Re: Senate Testimony on Violence in Mexico
It is consistant with plans and admissions to use the crisis the forward the Marxist agenda. The Obamans have been very open about their agenda and the tactics they will use to achieve it.roberts wrote:We shouldn't.
