Not sure if this is the right spot for this..if not MOD please move
I drive a small '89 Chevy S-10 regular cab pickup truck.
I am looking for a very simple camper shell I can put on it so if/when I go to some far away and remote Texas State Guard drill I can pretty much "camp out" in the back of my truck instead of burning a bazillion gallons of gasoline driving to and from my house to the drill site.
If anyone has one or knows of someone who has one I can trade the toolbox I currently have on the back of my truck or maybe a Mosin Nagant rifle or two (and around 200 rounds of ammo)
please let me know asap!!
-edit- Good to go on the camper shell! *disreguard this message*

Re: Looking for Camper Shell!!
I'm looking for one for my '07 Dodge short bed too. Take a look at Craigs List for CAMPER SHELL under auto parts.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Re: Looking for Camper Shell!!
If you dont find one you could always look into the tents that go in the back of a truck.. I've thought about one of those a time or two.. A camper shell would be nicer, but the tent allow's the full use of the truck bed, thats why I was interested at one time...
All of the camper shell's I know of are for long bed trucks

Did you go ahead and join the Texas State Guard? Let me know more about it, if you did. I seem to remember that you were considering it..WarHawk-AVG wrote:Not sure if this is the right spot for this..if not MOD please move

Yes, in fact I have been on 2 drills even though my paperwork is still going thru, apparently their S1 guy is on deployment and we know how that puts a damper on paperworklonghorn_92 wrote:Did you go ahead and join the Texas State Guard? I know for a fact that I am going to go TXSG...as I said in my rifle (need help) thread these guys even though we are a "non" active duty type unit...there are some of the most knowledgeable and professional sons of guns I have ever met and its an honor to stand with them in a time of need.
P.S. I didn't need a camper shell after all...the guys there had equipment enough for me to use while on drill
I will however be getting my own so I won't have to rely on someone else...
