class a misdemeanor

Post by kdub »

when I was fifteen I was arrested for a class a misdemeanor, that was 12 years ago so today I am eligible, but due to the length of time I have lost al info on the arrest. I wrote the two months the arrest would have taken place, the charge, and the city, county and state and the police dept that made the arrest. My question is, do you think that without the exact detail my app will be turned down, or at least delayed. Thanks.

Go to the clerk of the court in the county where you were arrested saying that they have no record of your convictions (they won't). Might cost around $10.

This happens all the time.

No misdemeanor that you committed when you were a minor 12 years ago would make you ineligible for a CHL now. Cmdr. Cody probably meant that it would delay processing of your application.

thanks, I just wanted to make sure that not having the exact date wouldn't mess it up.

Sorry, I was unusually fumble-fingered yesterday. I meant to say:

Go to the clerk of the court in the county where you were arrested and get a letter saying that they have no record of your convictions.
