OK, so my app got held up for some reason. I've been waiting to hear my prints are smudged or my pic is blurry.
well, I got the letter today stating that info on my app was missing. "Address and/or employment history for the preceding five years is require and was not provided."
The time frame they need verification on?
wait for it.....
wait....
02/04 thru 04/04
So by the time I get this info back to them the period on question will be outside of the 5 year history required.
I thought yall might enjoy that story.

Re: Governmental common sense
So... I just mailed mine off today and have been a student most of the past 5 years and only had a few jobs. Are they gonna do the same thing to me because I have blank six month periods in between each job?! As far as your story goes.... face/palm

Re: Governmental common sense
I thought the CHL instructions said to account for any periods of unemployment.
If you were a full time student during the time period I suggest you put "student" as one of your jobs with appropriate start and end dates. I'm serious.

Well, so much for that. I already mailed it off today. I guess I'll get a letter of stupidity in 2 months.
What I don't get is that there are only 5 slots to fill in your employment places and I filled them all up just to put down the places I work. I don't know where I would have put the filler slots for school time, but I've been a student pretty much the whole time. Whatever though, I've been dealing with the morons that run this state over numerous issues (one issue for over 2 years now and have gotten no where), so this comes as no surprise to me that I'll have to deal with more of their idiocy before it's over. I'll just sit back and wait. I have better things to do than worry about this right now.

Re: Governmental common sense
Actually my issue was with my address.
The note said "Clear printed numbers please". So its not that I didnt give them the info its that they couldnt read the "522" apparently.
On the positive side the lady I spoke to said that legally they could reset the timer, but that it wouldnt.

Evidently the timer doesn't have any teeth, anyway!mymojo wrote:...the lady I spoke to said that legally they could reset the timer, but that it wouldnt.

I remember when I finally got my plastic on 59th day and how frustrating it was waiting and wondering if something was going to go wrong in the paper trail. Feel real sympathetic for you guys and gals who are waiting way longer than that.
